344 Sqn Remembrance Parade 2016

Over the course of the weekend of the 11th November, 344 took part in remembrance celebrations across London. The local parade – 344 joined other forces units and cadet organisations based in the Fulham area to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Led by Hammersmith and Fulham’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Daryl Brown, the procession started at Parsons Green, marched along New Kings Road to the war memorial in Vicarage Garden by All Saints Church.

Many of 344’s recruits who joined in October 2016 were able to participate in the event and by all accounts were proud to be apart of the remembrance parade.

Separately on Saturday, Sgt Oon from 344 squadron was selected to participate in the field of remembrance celebration at the Royal Albert Hall which was a great honour for 344.
